A fantastic day putting the boat in Fiji through its paces! Not - TopicsExpress

A fantastic day putting the boat in Fiji through its paces! Not precisely a maiden voyage but for the Rydes, assembled for a days fishing together, it was a special occasion despite the weather! We set off under overcast skies and between the spray and the occasional rain squalls we spent most of the day damp, wet, drenched, dripping or thoroughly soaked. Amazingly Johnny even took a nap, covered in a towel, sleeping through the rain and the rough seas. And with that magic sound of a running reel and the first strike on a line we began the day on a high note. With smooth precision the order of precedence was established And Ainsley proceeded to pull in a respectable Barracuda. Next up was Lukah and his fish proved to be a beautiful Mackerel. Third strike and Andrew was called to the chair. He pulled in the second Barracuda (considerably larger than the first!) this was followed by my coral trout, described as a number one fish! Then Ainsley took on the third Barracuda and the boys ended up measuring to confirm that Andrews was indeed, as he claimed, fractionally bigger than Ainsleys! Lunch was elegant in a local resort followed by a quick trip back home! And it was fish for tea-of course.
