A fellow academic had this to say about placements in a popular google group of management teachers. Recently, I come across few of my Corporate Friends and Talent Acquisition Expert. Their comments are as follows: Majority of the students lack in Communication Skill. They are not rightly and highly exposed to the happenings of Business World at the National and International Levels. They are not much stronger in their domain specific. Beyond the above, students are not having enough knowledge on the basic principles and theories of Management I think the same is the problem with corporate managers of India. Among managers, most lack communication skills, they dont have an understanding of basic principles and they dont know what is going in the business and economy nationally and internationally. And many take pride in the fact that they dont read and they dont think they need any further learning.
