A fellow co-worker was laid to rest today. I have been on this job for 18 plus years and never have had to deal with a fatality. It is very hard to deal with knowing that the other Safety Officers and I, monthly train, advise and instruct these associates in Safety and proper procedures. It is just a very sad day in the Water Department. The Water Department has the most dangerous jobs in the City of Kansas City, it is such a disappointment that this had to happen............... I just hope that the other workers will take this tragedy and grow from it.................RIP my brother
