A few days ago I got an email from a colleague inviting the staff, here at CIS, to a Cardboard Arcade Event in Cebu (Global Cardboard Challenge) , an initiative inspired by Cains Arcade story (Thanks Marcie for sharing!). Today I watched the video with my grade 5 students and got very touched AGAIN! (this might be the 3rd time I watch it) What an inspiring story! They loved it and decided they wanted to do something similar in order to raise funds. The best part is that our current unit is about leisure activities and games in Spanish speaking countries. We already had planned to design and build a game with recycled materials, and then write a booklet with the instructions in Spanish. What a great coincidence!! Keep tuned! More information to come!
