A few days ago I had posted about my Client that opens the Ronald McDonald family room at Childrens on Thanksgiving and offers food to families since Childrens does not off any kind of thanksgiving meal. Kathy in the past has tried to pay for this on her own and now it is growing to the point it is super costly for her and her mom to be able to feed all the families who come in to eat. She said last year she had 50-60 people. Originally Schnucks in Ballwin told her they would donate two meals and yesterday she received a call from them telling her that person has no right to give those away and they are donating nothing. My Friends Jim and Mary Randall at BBQ ASAP have graciously donated ham, pork, muffins and wheat rolls. Kim Angel Mills was kind of enough to get OCharleys to donate a tray of Broccoli, rice and cheese. And my cousin Michele DiTrapani Hoff is donating rolls and a pie. Thank you all for you help. I am going to take up some Doughnuts and cupcakes. The food all has to come from a certified kitchen so unfortunately we cannot just cook things to take them. But, if anyone wants to purchase a little extra while shopping it would be wonderful and very helpful. I will be happy to pick it up from you or I will be at the salon tomorrow evening. Please remember my friends and family as we sit and love our families and children in the comfort of our own homes there are parents and children who are in a cold hospital setting and this the only thing to give them a normal thanksgiving.
