A few days ago I posted this only personal profile. It created a lot of debate since the trainer is well known and accomplished. Im well aware of strength training. Even though I studied in depth Kettlebell Lifting, which is a Power-Endurance activity for the most part, I learned by osmosis Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, Armwrestling, and Olympic Lifting, and even some Boxing and Wrestling. Ive heard a lot of defenses of this type of training shown in the video, and even heard its just a test this one guy is doing (like a feat) and this is not the typical way they train warriors. Maybe. Still, I think racing reps against the clock is a major problem we face as a philosophy in fitness, conditioning and sport. Its in kettlebells, its in Weightlifting, its in lots of fitness/sport, and its in Crossfit. I guess thats my personal problem with Crossfit, as it dominates fitness and fitness business, but fails to see the issue with racing reps against the clock and the problems it creates.
