A few days ago I went to withdraw money from Equity bank Atm Makutano branch after leaving a long queue in town that I thought I could not wait. Things turned out that even the Makutano branch had the same length of queue, so I came up with this idea and told those that were waiting that my wife had left with all our house belongings and I needed to withdraw some money as soon as possible so that I can take a taxi and run after her, I narrated this event in loud voice hoping that everyone will hear and excuse me, just as I said please the guy close to the door asked what? and I had to repeat the whole lie. I managed to get the money. Today at Tuskys I encountered some people that were in that queue and the first question they asked was whether I managed to catch up with my wife who was escaping with our belongings, it was a brief confusing moment being that she was here, a discussion broke out of different encounters with women who take their household belongings to their parents, every reference was directed to me with some offering advices and others suggesting that I take a panga and go teach her a lesson, the 3 minutes we took waiting to be served seemed longer than the coming of Christ. As I drove home she kept asking which wife they were talking about, how I wish she forgets what just happened.
