A few days ago on the way to work, the battery light would flicker once in a while. Then today it stopped. At 9am about I called a local farmer about some straw. We talked, made a nice deal. So I drove 11 miles out on south pleasant valley road and a few others, till I reach the deserts edge. We chatted as if thats what I went there for. Then without skipping a beat he got in my truck,and pointed the way though a farm yard, feed lot area till we came to the old straw bale stack. He got in his Skidder converted to a bale Stacker. Grabbed a bunch of bales lifted them and set them in my truck, repeated this a few times till. I had 24 bales on it. I strapped her down while he did some bale moving. We squared up. He got in and I took him back where he was in the first place. We chatted some more. And we parted ways. 3 miles or seven, I started to hear some wierd sound. The battery light didnt flicker. But the gauge was going down, bit by mile. I asked God to let me get to the driveway so I have a better place to change out the alternator. The bllinkers quit working and cruise control stopped a few miles from home. But I got there. I backed into the driveway and she died. So I took out the wheel barrow. And unloaded it all one at a time 135 feet away. I called to cancel the sectional pick up. Called the parts store. Took off the alternator. Bought one. Replaced it. Put the battery charger on it. Then took a well deserved shower! Tomorrow I go to a funeral. Will be gone awhile. So guess I will pick up the sectional on Saturday. I just realized I been up 24 hours. Im beat! How was your day?
