A few events and discourse that has occurred today has got me pondering on have we, as a society, forgotten the art and importance of verbal and face-to-face communication? Is it easier for us to hide behind text or is it easier for us to not have to confront our own & others real-time emotion? Is it a matter of convenience & if so, what is is it that places that restraint on us as individuals and as a society? We are all guilty of whatever it is and for our own reasons. However, we need to ask ourselves what it is that is important to us & how is this text-evolution affecting the inherent need for human contact and bonding? How is it affecting the way in which we let-go of and connect with others and ourselves, both positive & negative?
