A few exciting news stories over the past 2 weeks to report – firstly Glad 3 was caught by long time member Keith Bush at 37lbs 4 oz – pictures attached and our Callum had a cracking session also on Wyre, landing a 28lb and 29lb (The Friendly Mirror) and finally Shaun from Spa lead works had a great result on a day session on River lake (best carp water at the moment) of a 24lb 6oz – so happy days as the property average still remains high for this time of year! Also we had some new stock –they arrived on the 15th Nov – see you tube clip here youtube/watch?v=9GWcIax-zVo or search Wyreside November stock Over 250 3-5lbers went into Fox’s lake for growing on and 11 beauties were placed into Sunnyside 1 between 9 and 14lbs – some corkers for the future there and they are hungry! Several anglers reported ‘shoals’ of the newbie’s surfacing on Fox’s for some grub so watch this space :) We’ve had two very successful private coarse matches both on S2 over the last 2 weekends – yesterdays report from Robert Youdale was total weight of just over 200lb in fish! 1st place went to birthday boy Gilbert fishing peg 12 with 18lbs 2oz 2nd place was Martin on peg 18 with 18.bs 8oz and 3rd place on peg 11 was neil with 17lbs 12oz – well done lads! Pike season has started well – New member and Pike Angling Association member Jon Neafcy caught a couple of beauties, an 15 and 18lber from Sunnyside 1 and there have been many pike out between the 13 and 15 mark including 26 jacks so very encouraging as the winter moves on. We still have a few winter pike and carp tickets – now at a reduced rate and finally we have our November Pike match this coming Sunday the 24th on Sunnyside 1 – details can be found on our website here and please call us on 01524 792093 to register – the ‘full English’ at registration is worth coming for alone!
