A few folks have messaged me and wanted an update on Bobs mom Anne. They determined that she had a massive stroke (although they insisted for days that it was merely a seizure) and that did not really change much about their plan for treatment or their prognosis. Anne has an advanced directive (if you do not have one think of your children and get one) so thank heavens this has been made much easier. Although her directive was clear that she did not want to live via a ventilator her directive was clear to try it as a short term measure. She was placed on the ventilator and now that she is stable they have taken her off and so far she is breathing on her own. She still does not respond to any stimuli so we are in a wait and see mode. The doctors have said that they have seen people somewhat recover and others that did not make it. Obviously this in a greater physicians hands than we have in this world and we earnestly pray for Gods will and we ask for your prayers for healing, acceptance, peace for whatever Gods plan is for Anne.
