A few members of this group have mentioned depression or bipolar before, and I personally have suffered bipolar depression, particularly Seasonally Affective Disorder (SAD) and found Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and counseling very helpful, especially coupled with Nature Therapy, so much so I went on to study Person Centred Counseling at University. I cant remember the name of the person who posted asking how others here cope with depressive episodes, but I thought of it when I saw this video, which goes toward explaining why CBT and Mindfulness techniques are effective.. namely neuroplasticity, the brains ability to move/adapt neuro pathways to literally change the way you think and feel.
