A few months ago I started taking about a BOB SWAP among friends and, well, it grew. The price of admission was simply bringing a box of individually wrapped something to the meet. It could be anything from food to medicine to coffee to survival fishing kits and it could be commercial or hand made (such as the fishing kits but no handmade food).What a turn out! And, everyone was pleased with their swaps. No money changed hands...only BOB items. Among the items swapped, Tylenol, Motrin, pepto bismal, lomotil, small vacuum packed trauma kits, survival fishing kits in a tube, betadine wipes, betadine swabs, triple antibiotic ointment, benzakonium chloride wipes, eye injury kits, dental kits, electrolyte powder, coffee, coffee with cream and sugar, little hotel sized soaps, shampoo, Chapstick, packets of Vaseline, Steri strips, butterfly bandages, skin glue, 50 and 100 lengths of paracord, survival bracelets with fishing kits woven in, emergency matches, different sized sterile dressings, MRE snacks, packets of flavored peanut butter and a virtual hoard of other stuff. This turned out so well, I thought I would share.
