A few months ago I was on the cusp of losing my home. I had no idea how I was going to keep up with everything when my ex dropped out if the picture for a while. But something happened. I got resourceful and did my homework, used the situation to my advantage and the divorce to modify the home loan. See, my focus was to find a way have my expenses fit my income. Once that was done, I turned my attention to the CC debt accrued over the years and got debt counseling that is helping me pay it off. Im on a cash only basis and it feels so liberating. Why am I sharing this? Its because Im again in the process of rebuilding my life from the ground up. All those amazing single moms out there who are taking care if their families on their own are my inspiration. I was scared and angry, but needed to find the love in the situation which helped me be grateful and forgive. Is it easy? No, momma bear comes out every now and then as my life is to protect and raise my sons. My sons father helps with child care, sometimes cleans the house when Im at work and manages their diabetes. For this I am very grateful.
