A few months ago Reaching Out came across a beautiful little girl in Lebanon named Zeinab. She had a blinding eye condition and required expensive medical attention. Zeinab suffered from severe Esotropia where the nerve in the eye does not work. In addition, she needed to operate on the eyelid as it did not completely open. Alhamdulillah by the mercy of Allah swt her familys prayers were answered. With your generosity medication, injections and also an operation was possible to treat her condition. The aim of the operation was to align the eye in its correct position and open the eyelid. If this was not resolved, it could have caused amblyopia in which the brain ignores input from the eye and hence would lead to blindness. After a lengthy delay due to an infection that needed to be cleared with various injections in and around the eye area, surgery was completed on little Zeinab Alhamdulillah. She is in recovery and we await the results. Zeinab and her family are extremely grateful, and so are we.
