A few months ago when Chase broke his leg.. I was so busy taking Elliot to school, spending time at the hospital, working, etc.. then one Monday morning, I totally left our front gate and front door completely open. Our Recology collector noticed that something wasnt right.. and closed our doors for us. He told me a few weeks later.. and I was so impressed that he did it that I wrote a letter to Recology praising his great character! He didnt have to do anything more than empty our trash bins.. and he went above the nature of his job! Today when I was getting out of the car as he was pulling in front of the house.. and he was so incredibly appreciative that I sent in GOOD news rather than a complaint! So today.. when you see someone be kind.. or do something good.. or even just do their job well.. give them the recognition they deserve. Customer service is a hard industry and we mostly hear complaints and negativity! The power of positive reassurance is amazing!
