A few of the most innovative minds from Oklahoma have teamed up for a Kickstarter project that you should really check out. Although I am not in the same realm creatively as these people are, they have directly and indirectly been a huge influence on me since early high school days. Bradley Beesley and Tyson Todd Meade showed me that people in Oklahoma could make things that not only were awesome for Norman, but were some of the best things in the country. When I take pride in Oklahoma, I think of Oklahoma Football, The Chainsaw Kittens and The Flaming Lips. Bradley helped create a lot of the videos and imagery around these bands, while Tyson, of course, is still a star of the indie music scene (check out his new album - it is amazing). The productivity of these minds continues today with more incredibly original projects. This Kickstarter project is just one example of many. Check it out and help fund it. They are so close to their goal!
