A few people asked what we were doing at the school so heres a quick summary. In May Toosey took over the school from the school district. The school was in a bad state of disrepair and badly vandalized inside. Toosey wrote a proposal to CCATEC for wages and training dollars to bring youth from Toosey up to the school to renovate and learn some general carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills alongside a journeyman carpenter. Toosey also submitted an application to NDIT for funds for materials and we were successful.We turned the library into a wood shop and are set up to build core boxes for the diamond drilling companies. The rest of the rooms have also been renovated and we are renting out rooms for courses, training etc. Lots more to do but with endless possibilities. I will keep you posted as we continue to progress along.
