A few points things to ponder on... After being subjected to certain pressures, such as being raided by the AFP, and knowing that they now are watching you closer than before (not that we have anything to hide), one usually takes precaution in what he does, whom he calls, what he says, etc. This made me reflect on the following: 1- Privacy is a God-given right. Everyone has the right to his own privacy in his home and his personal life. Who he visits, talks to, what he does, etc. should be of no ones business. Unfortunately, certain groups of our community have their privacies violated by the government and other agencies for no valid reason. Everything we do and say is recorded or witnessed. Private conversations, including intimate ones with an individuals wife, and other parts of his life are now on show for foreign unwelcomed ears and eyes. This creates a feeling of disgust and anger, and may later evolve into severe paranoia, and may involve hallucinations. 2- While currently living the situation previously mentioned, this drew closer to my attention, my personal relationship with Allah -azza wa jall-, my creator, protector, and sustainer. The one who watches over all things. ... Indeed, He is Acquainted with what they do. (CH.: 11, V.: 111) ... Indeed, He is Seeing of what you do. (CH.: 11. V.: 112) Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. (CH.: 50, V.: 18) And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, Noble and recording; They know whatever you do. (CH.: 82, V.: 10-12) While one may now watch his actions and sayings out of fear of people, isnt it more required that he be wary of Allah -the Almighty- watching over him. No matter what people have against you, all what they can do is as Allah -azza wa jall- said: They will not harm you except for [some] annoyance... (CH.: 3, V.: 111) And: They said, Never will we prefer you over what has come to us of clear proofs and [over] He who created us. So decree whatever you are to decree. You can only decree for this worldly life. Indeed, we have believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us [to do] of magic. And Allah is better and more enduring. Indeed, whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal - indeed, for him is Hell; he will neither die therein nor live. But whoever comes to Him as a believer having done righteous deeds - for those will be the highest degrees [in position]: Gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of one who purifies himself. (CH.: 20, V.: 72-76) If anything, they can only harm you in this Dunya (life), while in the hands of Allah -azza wa jall- is the ultimate reward or punishment. May Allah keep us all safe, and protect us from the hands, eyes, and ears of the Tawagheet, their forces, and their spies... Ameen
