A few things worth mentioning about my experience in Tokyo so far. People come to help you, even if you dont ask, all you have to do is look confused, and even if they have no idea what they want to help you about. Taxis are all black (they look like limos) and the drivers are all hatted, uniformed and wear white gloves. Sweet! If you ask a question to someone, and they speak little English, they try and help you anyway, even if you accomplish nothing. Old men do not like to be asked anything. Smoking is allowed in restaurants. Big surprise for me. If you see a wall of people walking toward a train, wait till they pass, its scary to break through. This is a high tech city. Internet is fast, reliable and cheap, ATM machines look like sophisticated printing machines, bathrooms are small but very efficient and the toilets are smart.
