A few thoughts on departing for an adventure. The excitement is palpable. Adrenaline spikes when your eyes open to take in the first light of the morning. Your mind races with last minute thoughts of, What could I have forgotten? Stress sometimes ensues and pressure builds to not be that guy the group is waiting on to depart. And then, when the key is turned, seat belts are fastened, music is selected, and the truck begins to roll, it all melts away. Nothing but possibility of spectacular scenery, challenging moments, and good times with friends remain in your suddenly decluttered mind. It has begun. Adventure awaits. Today, I leave on one of many adventures this summer. I am headed to the San Rafael Swell in Utah to play in world class technical canyons. Upper Black Box, Zero Gravity, The Squeeze, Cable, and Knotted Rope canyons await. It is with new friends that I undertake this adventure. Friends I have made from this shop. This is more than a used gear gear shop. Its a life. I eat, sleep, breathe, and live by the outdoors and all the possibilities it holds. Speaking of which, I need to get on with that fun life. Adventure awaits. Utah bound!!!
