A few tips for the race: 1. have small snacks for the navigation race- your endurance will be challenged together with decision making. The brain needs food and sugar will be the go!. dried fruit is a healthy option! 2. keep hydrated all the time - we will have drink stops all along the race. Make sure you refuel when you can. Remember hydration starts way before the race! 3. Make up time on the flat terrain. You loose valuable time while climbing hills. make sure that when you have a flat stretch you turn on the afterburner. 4. Learn to read Topo maps!
