A few updates and putting a couple of requests out there. I finally got around to booking a porta loo, for some reason I just kept putting it off. My intention was to ring around for quotes but my first call was to Prestige Loos and they were so lovely to deal with I excepted the quote they offered and booked right there and then. About half an hour later they called back and offered the loo to me for $100.00 + gst for the 4 days this includes the pick up and drop off. Once again blown away by the kindness of strangers. I did not use a porta loo last year but had to walk up a small hill each time I needed the toilet, by day 3 this was a major issue, so this year I have the porta loo for myself and it will be on the flat. You may wonder why one little hill would matter so much, the Sri Chinmoy Peace mile loop has an elevation gain of 33.0m so by the time I have done 332 loops I have had an elevation gain of 10,956m. I have sent an email to a couple of places but if anyone has a contact that would be great. Also last year we had a pop up in place, this is mine and was fine but ideally it would be great to have something with sides, so the lap counters have some protection from the wind, rain ect. If any one has one that they would be happy to lend or know of someone I could contact that would be awesome. Lastly, tomorrow I am doing something a little different and have entered a 50km walking race. I have entered the non championship so I dont need to do the bottom waddle all the way. It really is a time on my feet training but I am also interested in learning some more about race walking. Wow long status :-)
