A few updates today. I added 13 articles to the Rockcastle Co. post on the Crooked Creek Election Day Shootout, Langford-Mullins Courthouse gunfight, and the killings of L. C. King, John W. Lawrence, and William Hundley [found here: papershake.blogspot/2013/11/election-day-shootout-at-crooked-creek.html ]. I also added a few articles to the Rockcastle Co. post that contains info on the killing of James Bethurum in 1878. One in particular is an Nov 24, 1878 article about the numerous transgressions of James Bethurum famous desperado among them the accusation that he was the one that burned the Rockcastle courthouse in 1873. I know that in the past Ive seen an 1897 election campaign article that attributed that arson to D. P. Bethurum, but seeing as that was a campaign article (and opponents love to smear each other), I suspect this one holds more truth.
