A few weeks ago, Faith had another angel come into her life (like, how lucky can this girl get??) - her amazing, wonderful, selfless trainer, Karin. Karin is compassionate, kind, understanding and they absolutely adore each other. I sit in awe during the lessons as I watch these two interact. I originally reached out to a trainer because we cannot pass (or even see) another dog without Faith reacting. Little did I know, that was not going the starting point. Walking on a leash isnt the starting point. Obedience isnt the starting point. CONFIDENCE is the starting point. Karin understands Faith - her guesses as to where her reactivity comes from feels so accurate and I hang on every word she says! I will pass along tips and tricks as I get them...in hopes it will help someone else. Karin hopes that, in turn, she can pass along information to all of you who have supported Faith from day one - and maybe some info will touch one of Faiths SNARR siblings. You just never know what little tidbit of info will crack your dogs code. Just tonight she sent me an email... Faith tends to tire out easily during her lessons... the mental stimulation seems to get to her - but so does the heat. We were wondering how this could be, since shes from Louisiana! Karin figures (quite logically) that it could be due to the fact that it WAS so hot in Louisiana that Faith came out mostly during the evenings/nights... She would hide under something (just like she does here) during the day to stay cool and do her venturing when it got cooler. Faith is often to be found under things and she is MUCH calmer in the evening. Amazing... right?! Sorry to be so long winded... but this incredible person is going to be in Faiths life forever, and we are so excited to share her with you. Please welcome her to our pack... we are SO lucky to have her.
