A few weeks ago, I got to perform a small feature set at a non-profit social media conference at Microsoft! I did a couple poems about homelessness and health issues in the local community - issues that are very important to me and must be a part of the ongoing conversation in spaces like these. But my favorite moment was when I began my poem in the crowd and scared the ish out of the poor woman sitting next to me.
