A few weeks ago Peter Lin posted a photo of C. walkeriana with 4 or 5 flowers on one infls. There was quite a discussion about whether or not the plant was pure species or had some influence from another species. I wanted to mention that orchids are capable of doing the weirdest things but wanted to wait until this flower was fully open to post the photo. Sooooo, because this C. tigrina is blooming apically from an aborted new growth, should we assume that it has C. walkeriana in it? I think not! Its just acting crazy like orchids often do ;)
