A few weeks ago someone asked me what great memories I had of when I ran at Cheyenne. I replied that I had only entered a few times and that yes I won a round in 06 and made the finals, but I really dont have fond memories of that rodeo. Before anyone gets all riled up, I will explain. The first year I ran, I was so sick with food poisoning I barely managed to stay on and make my run. Someone saddled and warmed up Rocky for me. Rocky got really sick with a respiratory infection. Another time we got there and had to back in close next to a parade gal who was not a contestant and was supposed to be parked elsewhere. She was mad because we parked in her yard and refused to move her truck which was inches from the door of my trailer. That was a long week. Then there was the time I cleaned and bedded stalls for our 2 horses after someone left. The stalls are disgusting because some folks dont clean at all. A lazy now Hall of Fame jerk moved his horse into Rockys stall. He then proceeded to argue with me about it. I got my stall back, but my buckets went missing in the middle of the night. Then the last time I was on Max. I was bringing him back from EPM. His first round run was decent and I drew the first perf. The perfs usually take forever and this one went quickly. I was making my way up to the arena and heard my name being called by some of the girls, I rushed to get up to the alley and the judge didnt give me 20 seconds to get there and make my run. I was flagged out. So no. Not my favorite rodeo. Would I ever enter again? Maybe. Lol
