A few weeks ago the 4th, 5th and 6th graders from our church went on a retreat. Tom went with them. We got a call that our 4th grader had gotten hurt and I was afraid that someone was having to deal with him overreacting and crying loudly (thats how he usually reacts to getting hurt). But, my husband said it was Tom that had called and that he got him calmed down and took him out to his truck to sit and recover. Tom was patient and thoughtful, but also good at getting kids to obey and join in when they were hesitant. He had an amazing gift and our family was blessed by him over and over. Anyone that spent 10 minutes with him was blessed. It still doesnt seem possible that we will have to wait to see him again until we get to Heaven... We are praying without ceasing for Caroline and the kids.
