A few years ago I created this silk painting of a Maya Shaman transforming himself into his wise animal self through ritual dance. I used layers of paint is a watercolor like effect in the Serti Technique. The powerful and mystical desire of this shaman, stayed with me. My next re-creation of this Mayan hieroglyph was using fire and metal... Im working through the elements, maybe he would approve. Please note, Ive used full Artistic License in the alteration of a partially found glyph on a piece of pottery dating 600-900 AD.
