A few years ago Neil Tyson was interviewed and began discussing the difference between humans and apes. He went on to explain that the differences that make an ape, well, an ape (or more specifically a chimpanzee), and a human unique from an ape is a mere 1.5% difference in DNA. Its this roughly 1.5% that makes us markedly more advanced, according to a standard that only we could develop and comprehend. Of course, you know this. But the more fascinating part of the interview was when he asked us to ponder how humans who evolve 1.5% beyond our current state would perceive and interact with us. The answer is simple: like we do apes.
