A few years ago, a radio program became popular. This program went viral in the south west of Nigeria; in Ogun state it is called Iriri aiye meaning the experience of life, in Osun state, it is called Irin kerindo, meaning life journey. so many parents always ensured that their children listen to the program, so that they can learn. As much as I love the way the program was packaged, I soon discovered that the program was spreading fear and causing a lot of people to have erroneous beliefs and views about life; so several people began to approach life with fear of demons and mindsets of failure. As I meditate on this, I discovered that a lot of people are living in fear because of the experience of people around them that they have heard or witnessed. The devil who is always happy to work through our fear to enslave us is so excited whenever he sees people who believes the negative experience of people around them and uses it to measure what will happen to them. Job said what I feared has happened to me, which means fear and faith are magnets. Faith is simply believing that it will work, while fear is also believing that it cant work. The two of them feeds on information, yes, faith comes by hearing, the same with fear. So many people has come to believe that marriage is bondage, filled with pains, sorrow and disappointment; so you cant be surprised when that becomes their own experience For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. If you probe to know where they got that mindset, it is often by hearing negative things and surrounding themselves with negativity. Some men believes that women are evil, so many of them end up experiencing evil in their wives because that is their unspoken expectations. You cannot be greater than your desire! Your desire is often formed by your faith and your fears, while your faith or fears is fueled by informations available to you. The negative experience of others shld nt enslave you.
