A few years ago at this time Al Roker made a comment that it was colder in Ocala, FL than it was in Anchorage, Alaska. Joey wanted to know why that was a big deal, so we watched a Discovery Education video about global warming and looked at the map and usual temperatures. He came back a few days later and asked if maybe it wasnt that its global warming but that the plates are still moving and so therefore the weather is going to change. The winter Olympics were going on at this time in Canada and they were bringing in snow from NY, I think thats what the report said. Then there was an Earthquake and reports about the Earth being shaken by a few degrees, and then Tampa had to re-do the lines for the landing strips because they were now off. Joey came back and said, And with all the Earthquakes, maybe the plates really are shifting and soon it will snow in FL. As I watch the weather patterns for the last few years, I have to wonder if hes onto something. What was 50 years ago will not be today or in another 50 years. The plates have not stopped moving. The Earth is constantly in motion and changing. Enjoy the snow FL and GA.
