A few years ago, before he seemingly lost control of his behavior and mouth, Mel Gibson funded, produced, and directed The Passion of the Christ. At the time, Gibson met with pastors and screened the film prior to final editing. Regarding the R rating received for graphic violence - though intensely accurate - Gibson pointed out that many biblical stories would be rated R if told truthfully. He intimated the possibility of producing a number of such films but it never came about. Sadly, with the release of Noah, a tremendous story of judgement, impending wrath, Gods mercy, & grace was ruined until someone spends the millions and can stick to the script. Gibson took a HUGE risk but was rewarded with great success and a classic movie. Who will be the next to take that step?
