A few years ago, when Ace was 4 years old, her parents adopted Archie from Bulgaria. Archie has Down syndrome, but in the eyes of a child, Archie was simply her new brother - she loves him.....and he sometimes gets on her nerves, like any good brother does. Ace made a touching, cool video with Archie that was well circulated in 2012 for National Down Syndrome Day. It started circulating again...and since it was so old, they made a new video to show Ace and Archie today. Archie did not have a lot of language and his speech was very unclear back then. Its a whole different story today. He has lots of words. All day long. The words dont actually ever stop. And as you can tell, Archie is still simply her brother - she loves him.....and he sometimes gets on her nervew, like any good brother does. At GiGis Playhouse, our vision is to see a world where individuals with Down syndrome are accepted and embraced in their families, schools and community. Ace, it looks like youre doing that each and every day. You go girl!!!
