A filament eruption associated with a Type II radio emission took place this evening to the south of region 2030. Attached video by the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) captures the eruption which appears to be directed to the west and away from Earth. This is confirmed by viewing the latest LASCO coronagraph imagery where a faint CME is now visible. Stay tuned to solarham for the latest updates.
