A fine way to enjoy a cold rainy day. We visited MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in University Circle. MOCA is showing its first major museum exhibit, “Creativity,” which focuses on the visualization and drawing practices of master chef Ferran Adrià of the elBulli restaurant in Costa Brava, on the north of Spain. Ferran Adrià is considered by many to be the best chef in the world. His restaurant, elBulli is recognized as the most controversial and experimental restaurant in the world. They receives 1,000,000 reservation requests a year. Only 8,000 get a table. This is an impressive, inspiring, and stimulating exhibit for anyone in the creative arts. “Creativity” focuses on visualization and drawing practices of Adrià’s pursuit to comprehend creativity. He positions the medium as both a philosophical tool and a physical object. The exhibit features notebooks, print outs, photos, and scribble sketches for proposed elBulli dishes. for elBulli.
