A first priority is a call for a dog in danger and this boy - TopicsExpress

A first priority is a call for a dog in danger and this boy certainly was! We got a call yesterday about this dog named King. We learned that his owner had died about 6 months ago and no one in the family had claimed King so King has just been running about since then. He has chased cattle so he was in danger of being shot by farmers in the area. And speaking of being shot...Kings leg was amputated due to a gunshot wound from the Warren County Sheriffs Department. This happened about 3 months ago. We are so frustrated that this gentle boy was shot because he looked mean. He is extremely gentle and very friendly. I cant imagine him being mean to a human! I am horrified that he was shot! He is a stunningly beautiful white german shepherd. He looks to be about 6-7 years old if that. He will be getting his vet cares done in the next few days and having that leg checked out. Following that he will be available for adoption. PLEASE, if you know of a stray that needs help, do like this lady did and call us! We can help and we want to help. We dont want things like this to happen to these dogs who are strays through no fault of their own. Thank you to Karen for placing that call and giving King a real chance at getting a wonderful, forever home! We appreciate it!
