A fish rottens from the head I never heard this phrase before - TopicsExpress

A fish rottens from the head I never heard this phrase before until I heard it on the radio today. The announcer said it was used by Democrats who described the Bush Whitehouse that way. Well I wonder what they are saying about their man as scandals break three at a time. We can’t make it through one before another one has comes and we still have answers to find. When are people going to learn that telling the truth is always the best thing to do? I bet they never thought when they used those words they would come back to haunt them too. Winning at all cost is not a win but a loss if you sacrifice your integrity for gain. It will be gone forever and you can’t get it back you’ll wear it like a permanent stain. If you loose our trust as a political leader you’ve lost as a man as well. Never mind what you’re going to tell all of us what story to your family will you tell. Will there be disappointment in the eyes of your child and will this make her think less of you? That’s the real damage this sort of thing leaves when you let down those depending on you. It may be too late to fix what’s been done but there’s still a right thing you must do. You’ve got stop the bleeding and face the music and tell only things that are true. Mistakes are things that aren’t intentionally done like wearing a black sock and a blue. But when you tell a lie you know it inside and a mistake doesn’t apply to you. The truth is the truth and there’s no other version on this we can all rely. So pull yourself up and whatever you do don’t tell another lie. And only then can we all begin to let the past go by. But you’ll have to step down and give up the high ground and eat a big slice of humble pie. Steve McKinney 05/16/2013
