A fitting ending to the day.. Im sure Sgt. Major Cain is resting high on that mountain-- Job is accomplished my friend.. You served us well-- Happy Birthday! ~~ Joes gona share a story of today!! (you knew it).. .....I was going to Amelia Veterans ceremony today, but got a late start---- So I figured I needed to be SOMEWHERE.. wanted to be!!.. went to Ft. Lee and it was packed.. I parked way down the road, yes, I had the pups and woulda left them in the truck in Amelia as I would have been close ---(it gets better) -- ***So we walked a bit and not sure I could take them down the hill to the ceremony, so WE sat on the sidewalk within hearing distance... A uniformed Army approached-- I wasa little nervous to say the least... He asked was I going down? I replied, wasnt sure about the dogs so we were sitting on the walkway where we could hear.. He bent down, rubbed the pups and said If you wont mind, we will walk a ways down the road, So with 2 leashes in HIS hand, he took my pups! We got down to the field area and he said... Im Major Ramos... and no-one will mind if I HAVE the dogs here... We laughed, the pups and I sat where ALL could see as he walked away, he turned and grinned and gave me the thumbs up--- NO, Joe wont forget this day either! Rest easy tonight my friends, Major Ramos and Sgt. Major Cain.... wasa very good day!! J
