A five member Bahraini Parliamentary Delegation led by Chairman Council of Representatives, Kingdom of Bahrain H.E. Khalifa Bin Ahmad Al-Dhahrani arrived at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad today. The delegation is on a three days official visit to Pakistan. Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi along with Convener of Pak-Bahrain Parliamentary Friendship Group Pir Shafqat Hussain Shah Jillani and senior officials of the National Assembly Secretariat received the delegation. While talking to the Chairman Council of Representatives, Kingdom of Bahrain, Deputy Speaker said that Bahrain and Pakistan are bonded in the eternal ties of religion, culture & history and there is commonality of views and perceptions of both the countries on all regional and global issues. He also expressed the need for increase of contacts between the Parliamentarians and political leadership of the two countries as well as people to people contact. Chairman Council of Representatives, Kingdom of Bahrain H.E. Khalifa Bin Ahmad Al-Dhahrani said that Pakistan is our second home and we are brotherly countries. “Pakistan’s strength is Bahrain’s strength and we wanted to see Pakistan strong and prosperous”, he said. He said that Bahrain also values high its relations with Pakistan and wanted to further strengthen the bilateral relations.
