A five-run fourth inning helped give Wichita an 8-5 exhibition win over the T-Bones on Wednesday afternoon in Wichita. Trailing 1-0, the T-Bones (1-2) scored two in the third against Wichita starter Tim Brown. With Darrell Hudson on first following a walk, Vladimir Frias knocked him around to third on a hit and run. A bad throw on the play allowed Hudson to score. David Espinosa then knocked in Frias with a double to left-center, giving the T-Bones a 2-1 lead. In the fifth, the Wingnuts got seven hits and five runs, and took a 6-2 lead. Thats all they needed. Each team scored two in the sixth, and then Kansas City added one in the ninth on a bases loaded groundout by Danny Richar. The T-Bones continue their exhibition season on Thursday night at Lincoln. The team returns home for its final two preseason contests on Monday and Tuesday night against Winnipeg. Both games at CommunityAmerica Ballpark are scheduled for a 7:05 first pitch.
