A flash flood watch is in effect for the British Virgin Islands. The watch issued by the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services, will remain in effect until 2:00 p.m. The watch has been issued based on the prediction of more heavy showers caused by a deep layered trough which will continue to produce unsettled weather conditions across the area over the next 24 hours. The watch is also in effect for Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, St Kitts & Nevis and Anguilla. According to the latest forecast, the weather today and tonight will be cloudy to overcast skies with numerous showers, some of which could be heavy at times accompanied by thunderstorms. Winds are ESE at 12-18 knots with higher gusts during heavier showers. Seas are moderate with swells of five feet. Barometric pressure is below normal.
