A fly hits the windscreen of a train head on. The fly is flattened and taken into the opposit direction by the speeding locomotive. Now- for the fly to reverse its direction- it has to stop, and it does so when in contact with the train. Fact: two objects that are solidly connected (not unlike the fly and the trains windshield), must nessesarily have equal velocity. And since the fly made a stop- in contact with said windshield- so the locomotive must have stopped. It is therefore logical, that the fly- at least for a moment - did stop the train!
