A foreign traveler named Carly wants to come to the Philippines and needs advice! Here is part of what she emailed me...I think you guys might be able to help her with suggestions: I only have 6 full days to spare--arriving mid August at 5am. I realize that this is the rainy season, which is another reason why I am trying to have a few options. I wanted to make it simple and not take another flight somewhere (if I can avoid it), despite people telling me I should just head to Palawan..but if I absolutely should do this, I definitely could. My priorities (in no particular order): hiking a mountain/volcano, good food, local culture, swimming/beach time (but does not have to be Borcay-like perfection by any means). Ive looked at heading directly from airport to a beach in Zambales area, spending a few days, and then spending a day climbing Mount Pinatubo . But this seems to be a far less traveled route, therefore having way less info. Also, not sure if it is a good idea during rainy season. Please give Carly your suggestions in the comments below! I think with limited time, her idea is good, but some of you might know better :) Nathan Allen
