A free presentation on rainwater harvesting and cistern - TopicsExpress

A free presentation on rainwater harvesting and cistern installation is slated for Jan. 31 in Carmel Valley. Expert Jon Ramsay will discuss the water and money-saving advantages to installing these systems, followed by a tour of previously installed cisterns. The presentation and tour will be from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and begins at Carmel Valley Community Youth Center, 25 Ford Road. The event is hosted by Monterey Peninsula Water Management District and will focus on an overview of rainwater harvesting, tank sizes and types, permitting requirements, system design, maintenance and available rebate programs.
