A freezing day, ice blocking my view out the window. Im not going to think about the long month of January ahead. Im not going to think about the many times Ill be standing outside with my shoulders hunched, imploring Gabby to HURRY UP. No, Im going to think about spring, when snowdrops come out and ask if the shootings over. When crocus and hyacinth appear in their crayon colors, and fat buds are on the trees, and the robins return from their condos in Florida. Spring time (April 14th, to be exact) is also when my new novel will come out. It seems awfully close, now--my friend Marianne said yesterday, Whoa, that baby is crowning! Im going to share another blurb the book has gotten.
