A friend came round the other day, and I was working on the laptop. Hes a Linux user; albeit a casual one. As he was poking his nose around my laptop he notices I was working in the terminal. He takes a second glance and shrieks Eww why are you using VIM thats as old as shit. Move with the times, use gedit. I almost burst out laughing, but I thought Id save it. He is correct, VIM is as old as shit. I couldnt be bothered to explain why VIM is thee most powerful editor in the world. Ill wait for him call me up one day when his server crashes and he realizes theres no such thing as gedit in the shell. Then Ill explain why VIM is better than gedit.
