Her earnings are very modest. She needs a two bedroom apartment and can afford $920 for rent in Grand Traverse County or $880 in Leelanau County, including heat and utilities. She has a Section 8 voucher, which means that she will pay 1/3 of her income toward rent; the state pays the landlord directly.
