A friend of a close friend said that she knew that the Bible was not trustworthy based on evidence. When asked what evidence there was, she replied, they found the Dead Sea scrolls, a part of the Bible that went missing, and assumed that there was more put in and some taken out. The Dead Sea scrolls, however are ancient manuscripts found that only confirm that what the Bible says is true. Archaeologists continue finding ancient manuscripts and artifacts such as the chariots at the bottom of the Red Sea that were from the time of Moses who - by the power of God - parted the Sea to lead Gods people out of Egypt, then released the sea to engulf their captors. There are simple mistakes we all make that lead us away from a life with God and make alternatives to the Bible seem like truths. It might start with blaming Him for the evil in the world, and the things wrong with our life. For this woman, she knew some terrible people who called themselves Christians and did things in the name of Jesus that they should be imprisoned for ever for. Since Adam and Eve first disobeyed God, it has been only the sins of men and woman that bring evil into the world, and God tells us to be set apart from this. Only with His spirit are we capable of doing this without falling into our sins again. God calls us to seek the truth 100% to be sure of it. The truth and the physical evidence of it continues to unravel, but even this is unimportant to the evidence given to us by the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus into our hearts. Only He has died so that we could live, and bore the weight of our sins. He was thinking of those who He was about to save which includes me, so I owe Him my life and I intend to serve Him rather than myself. I pray and hope that He was thinking of you, and that you decide to lift your life up to Him in gratitude for saving you from eternal death. He does not make you go to Hell, He warns us all that we our own evils are what condemns us. He made a way for us to be washed clean of our sins, and instructs us to be with Him in Heaven. He did not die on the cross in vein for those who choose Him. If you wish to test your goodness against Gods standards, take the good person test. It is 100% based on the Bible, and is truly what condemns us because we are aware of our sins, yet we still sin. wayofthemaster/goodperson.shtml
